Quickie TriQ200 TRI Q200

Quickie Tri Q200 G-BMFN (FN) is an unusual, rare (and fairly quick) aircraft. It was built in the UK as a Q200 ( 2seat, 100 HP) by EMK Aeroplane in the early 1980s from a QAC kit. It first flew as a Taildragger in 1986, before being modified in 1987 into a TRI Q200. It was the first TRI Q200 to fly in the UK, being displayed at the PFA (LAA) 40th Anniversary Rally in 1988. FN is only 1 of 2 UK built TRI Q200 versions that are still flying, peculiarly both started as Tail draggers. The benefit of the Tricycle landing gear is no added stress to the Canard on landing and no nose-over on braking. This year is FN's 40th birthday, which coincides with the LAA (PFA) 80th Anniversary rally in September (2026). FN has had 4 owner / custodians over its 40 years, each has left their mark. Time now for the next custodian to buy in and carry on its journey. Would suit someone that has a good Light aircraft engineering background, preferably with some composite experience and who has capable piloting skills. Help with initial pilot conversion and maintenance activities can be provided if required for cover of expense costs. Current specification (see below) possesses a modern well equipped semi glass cockpit and innovative avionic specification, dual battery busbar system. Uprated landing gear Etc.
