Wilco Aviation is pleased to introduce this 2009 owner-built X'Air Hawk, exclusively available through our facility. Registered as G-IEEF, this exceptional aircraft is based at our Henstridge location in the picturesque South West of England, Somerset. With a global fleet exceeding 400 units, the X'Air Hawk has steadily gained recognition in the UK, with 24 registered aircraft currently in operation. Most Hawks are powered by the reliable Jabiru 2200 engine, further enhancing their appeal. Joel Koechlin of Raj Hamsa, the aircraft's manufacturer in India, sought to create an upgraded version of the original X'Air. His vision was to retain the beloved features while incorporating improvements based on owner feedback over the years. The result is an aircraft that includes enhancements such as larger doors for easier access, adjustable seats for increased comfort, folding wings for convenience, improved speed and efficiency, superior overhead visibility, and enhanced comfort for all pilots. If you've ever wished for additional features in an X'Air, chances are the X'Air Hawk has them—and more! The X'Air Hawk boasts thoughtful design elements that prioritise ease of use and comfort. The ergonomic flap lever is conveniently located on the top left-hand side of the cabin, eliminating the need to switch hands on the stick or make awkward movements. The redesigned seats provide maximum comfort, featuring integrated seat belts for better shoulder fit. They are also adjustable to accommodate taller pilots. A clear fabric insert seals the draft between the seats, maintaining warmth while allowing visibility of the spacious 80-litre fuel tank. The instrument panel is sloped forward and positioned closer to the occupants, making switches and controls easily accessible for pilots of all sizes. A dedicated compass surround has also been integrated. A spacious baggage compartment is located behind the seats for added convenience. Full dual controls include two sticks and two throttles, with all controls now neatly placed under the floor for a cleaner, more streamlined look. Wider, front-hinged doors allow for effortless entry and exit, even for less agile pilots. When opened, the doors remain completely out of the way. The extended lexan panels provide an excellent sideways view, while the lower dashboard ensures an unobstructed forward view, even for shorter pilots. Overhead visibility is enhanced with four clear lexan panels in the fiberglass roof section. With ample headroom, the X'Air Hawk is designed to accommodate pilots of all shapes and sizes comfortably.
