One of our syndicate members is reluctantly selling his 1/5 share in our beloved 1963 Piper Comanche 250 due to a change of personal circumstances. The aircraft has been beautifully maintained by Dukeries Aviation, the previous owners of the aircraft, for over 10 years and has a freshly completed 12 months annual. A welcoming, friendly group with instructions available if required. G-ODAL is stored in her own exclusive, non shared, hangar on the Norfolk Suffolk border. Included with the share is a proportional share of the syndicates cash funds of just over £10,000. The aircraft has had a recent bare metal respray where she was sanded, not paint stripped, to preserve the superior Piper factory corrosion proofing the Comanche line received in Lock Haven. The most recent engine overhaul included perfecting the IO540 by fitting an STC'd Firewall Forward camshaft modification where the camshaft is drilled and fed with oil pressure to deter the usual Lycoming camshaft issue, Bolted to this is a stunning, freshly overhauled Hartzell scimitar 3 bladed propeller - with cooling padels to aid engine cooling. Extensive avionics upgrades have been completed, including installing a Bendix King ADF, DME and KX165A, later followed by an Avidyne IFD 440, Garmin G5 HSI and STec 55x autopilot. Fly fully coupled ILS approaches all the way down to minimums knowing you are in the safest of hands. A full Cooper Cabin Craft interior is fitted including bespoke seats, fly across the continent without pain, these seats were custom moulded for comfort - not just a pretty face! The 1000 hour gear AD has been carried out to the highest order, including fitting the sought after Teflon Main Landing Gear conduits - these are no longer available and superior to anything on the market. Also installed is a 1 piece windscreen, windscreen cowling speed kit, wheel well speed kits and Rosen sun visors among much more. This aircraft has been meticulously maintained with love and care and has remains maintained by Dukeries Aviation, both an outstanding aircraft maintenance company that specialise in the Comanche line and the ex owners of G-ODAL who used her as their personal aircraft. She really is something special. G-ODAL has just been imported onto the UK register, previously registered as N61970 to enable easier continental trips.
