BUCKER JUNGMANN (CASA 1.131E)

A rare opportunity to acquire a much cherished 1953 Bucker Jungmann (CASA 1.131E). This is an unusually fine example, with an excellent history having been fully rebuilt in 1991 and having had only 1 owner since. Always hangared, no accidents or damage. Much recent work including the fitting of a zero timed 150hp Tigre engine (now with just 7 hours on it). The aircraft being now in rather better shape than its owner, the time has finally come to pass it on. G-JGMN is a Bucker Jungmann, built in 1953 under licence as a CASA 1.131E series 2000. In 1991 it was subject to a full rebuild to as new condition. I have been the sole owner ever since. Buckers are the gold standard for vintage aerobatic aircraft, and the Jungmann is widely acknowledged as one of the sweetest handling, most joyful and exuberant aircraft ever built. As the late great Neil Williams wrote "Nothing flies better than a Bucker Jungmann". Fitted with a 150hp Enma Tigre engine, Hoffmann propeller and Bruntons stainless steel wires G-JGMN is fully aerobatic. Always hangared, it has never suffered any mishaps or damage. It has been flown regularly, and has led a comfortable life with only gentlemanly aerobatics. Over the last couple of years it has been treated to a new engine and the opportunity was taken to carry out a thorough inspection and, where necessary, refurbishment. This work included: - Zero timed Enma Tigre G-IVBE 150hp engine, overhauled by Dirk Bende - engine mounts NDT tested - new exhausts - all oil and fuel hoses renewed - oil and fuel tanks cleaned; new flop tubes fitted - Ellison throttle body overhauled - refurbished Christen wobble pump installed - new tyres and tubes - new tailwheel - new ATR 833 radio - new battery - new leather seats, crash pads and strut boots Included in the sale is a cockpit cover and two spare engines (mostly complete but partially disassembled and needing overhaul) Total airframe hours are now 1054 (400 since the 1991 rebuild) Engine hours: 7. LAA Permit to 11 August 2027.
