Sequoia Falco F8L

For Sale | Falco F8L (1996) UK Registered: G-OCAD A rare opportunity to acquire one of the most beautiful and exhilarating touring aircraft ever designed - the Sequoia Falco F8L. Known worldwide as the Ferrari of the skies. The Falco combines Italian design elegance with serious performance, cruising comfortably at over 160 knots while delivering exceptional handling and efficiency. G-OCAD is a particularly refined, one of a kind, example, benefitting from significant upgrades including a Garmin-centric glass cockpit, electronic ignition and numerous thoughtful enhancements developed over the past decade. For the pilot seeking something truly special - fast, elegant and immensely rewarding to fly - aircraft like this rarely come to the market. This timeless aircraft features a sleek, laminar flow thin wing that minimises drag and maximises speed. Constructed from plans with laminated spruce (sequoia) and birch ply finish, the Falco boasts incredible strength and resilience allowing it to handle a +6g -3g capability with maximum take-off weight (MTOW) 854kg. With its impressive roll rate of 120 degrees per second, the Falco requires gentle and precise control input for smooth flying. It excels in serious 2 seat touring and can confidently land on runways as short as 500 metres, with a take-off distance of only 200 metres, yet cruise comfortably at up to 163 knots.
