This classic Piper J-3 Cub based at WLAC, White Waltham is the ultimate grassroots vintage flyer, offering pure stick-and-rudder flying from the rear seat. She has the benefit of having the original Continental A65-8F engine upgraded to the Continental C85-12 giving it sprightly performance. The airframe has a Total Time Airframe (TTAF) of 3,659 hours and crucially, the Continental engine has only 192 hours TSOH, providing excellent longevity and peace of mind for the incoming group member. It features the classic tandem configuration and offers the unforgettable open-door flying experience that defines the Cub legacy.
