FOR SALE: A BRAND NEW Zodiac CH601HD ultralight aircraft, registration D-MVJK. The kit used to build this aircraft is an original, Made in USA kit! Zodiac CH601HD stands for High Deck—this version can be certified up to a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 650 kg without any additional structural reinforcements. It was previously registered at 450 kg. I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE that the first person to see this aircraft in person will buy it! The build time required to get the aircraft to the current condition of this CH601 is approximately 700–1,000 working hours! The aircraft was built by the official Zodiac type certificate holder in Germany, where it was also certified and test-flown. Tragically, he passed away in an accident, and his son sold the aircraft in parts—he removed the instruments and the engine, selling the airframe separately. The HD version is so rigid that it can easily tow gliders or banners.This is NOT the XL version, which requires an upgrade package to fly safely!!! The maiden flight took place in 2023, documented by the test flight logs. Total flight time is 1 hour with a BMW engine (which unfortunately turned out to be unsuited as an aircraft powerplant). Insurance, inspection, and weight & balance were valid until 06/2024. Accident-free, with zero incidents, no ifs, ands, or buts. I am selling the airframe shown in the photos (without engine, instruments, or BRS parachute). It is equipped with 2 wing fuel tanks and an additional standard tank. It features strobes, a landing light, electrical wiring, tail unit, tinted glass, original wheel pants, hydraulic brakes, electric trim, and leather seats. Furthermore, it is completely treated with anti-corrosion protection. The wingtips are finished with original composite tips, not DIY aluminum extensions like on most kits. The aircraft is certified/approved for the installation of engines such as: Rotax 912 UL, Rotax 914F, Hirth F30, BMW R1200, and MB. This is confirmed by corresponding documentation, which I am including FOR FREE along with all blueprints, photos, and the documents required for re-registration. Additionally, an engine mount for the Rotax 912 is included FOR FREE. Kit serial number: 6-7867.
